Dr. Melissa “Sunshine” Lyde is a compassionate educator, resilience coach, and ministry leader dedicated to helping women and communities heal from the wounds of trauma and step into lives of hope, faith, and freedom. With a professional background in mental health, sexual trauma, dementia education, and Christian ministry, she has become a trusted voice at the intersection of faith, healing, and personal growth.
Melissa is also the co-founder of Sunshine Recipe Retreat Solutions, LLP, where she facilitates workshops designed to restore and strengthen broken mother–daughter relationships. She is also the creator of transformative programs such as a 16-lesson series guiding women through sexual trauma recovery and spiritual awakening, as well as a five-month forgiveness series designed to restore wholeness for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, foster care, and strained family relationships. Through her teaching, she blends evidence-based mental health practices with biblical truth, creating safe and empowering spaces for others to heal.
Melissa equips women, families, and communities with tools for resilience, forgiveness, and emotional healing. She also embraces her role as the “Sunshine Resilience Coach,” using her warmth and light to inspire others through ministry workshops, webinars, and support groups rooted in faith, resilience, and personal empowerment Her mission is to bridge professional expertise and spiritual guidance, walking alongside others in their journey of healing and forgiveness.

Phillip L. Lyde, MBA, M.Ed., founder of Eheys Consultation Services is a dynamic educator and advocate specializing in special education, mental health, and leadership development. With over 20 years of experience spanning the military, education, and community advocacy, Phillip has dedicated his life to empowering individuals of all abilities. His work with special needs populations emphasizes inclusive practices, bridging gaps between families, educators, and systems. As a sought-after speaker and thought leader, Phillip brings compassionate, solution-focused strategies to enhance learning environments and inspire lasting change.
Throughout his career, Phillip has served as an Exceptional Children (EC) Coordinator in multiple schools, where he successfully led and transformed special education departments to become state-qualified. His leadership has not only elevated compliance and professional standards but has also touched the lives of countless students and their families, creating environments where all children are encouraged to succeed.
In addition to his professional work, Phillip is deeply committed to ministry. He faithfully serves as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon Elect and for over five years he serves and educates his own Bible study group. His teaching reflects his dedication to equipping others with the Word of God and his belief that spiritual growth and resilience are essential for personal transformation.
Phillip has also expanded his influence through writing. Alongside his wife, Dr. Melissa “Sunshine” Lyde, he has co-authored several books on marriage, sharing wisdom and practical strategies to help couples thrive. He also collaborated with fellow educators to publish a book on special education, contributing his expertise to strengthen the field and support fellow professionals.

Felicia Lyde is a compassionate mental health professional and psychoeducation consultant who brings heart, clarity, and cultural humility to every family and community she serves. With a deep commitment to helping individuals with special needs and their caregivers, Felicia offers intensive in-home support and education that is grounded in evidence-based practices and a profound respect for each person’s lived experience.
Her approach is both practical and deeply human. Felicia works alongside children and families in their everyday environments, offering guidance that’s not only clinically sound but also empathetic and accessible. She believes that mental health care should honor dignity and resilience, and that real change begins when people feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether she's helping a child regulate emotions, coaching a parent through a difficult moment, or guiding caregivers in applying new strategies, Felicia creates space for growth that is both sustainable and empowering.
Beyond individual care, Felicia is a passionate advocate for community wellness and equity. She is the co-founder of the Ethel Tremaine Robinson Foundation at Brown University, which supports educational access for inner-city youth, and has spent years volunteering with vulnerable populations; supporting elders, single mothers, displaced veterans, and first-generation college students through everything from housing assistance to career readiness coaching. Her work reflects a lifelong dedication to lifting those often left behind, not just through words but through action.
Felicia’s educational background in international relations and development studies, along with advanced training in global diplomacy, social impact strategy, and trauma-informed care, allows her to bring both a local and global lens to her work.
